Advent Calendars to Craft

A fun treat for kids and adults alike, this tree-shape Advent calendar is a cinch to make with a few inexpensive matchboxes and spare scrap supplies. Cover the outside shell of 24 matchboxes with decorative cardstock or wrapping paper. On the front of each matchbox glue patterned paper and fun accents, such as ribbon, charms, and stickers. Finish each box with a number on the front in varying stencils, stickers, and writing. Place fun toys and candies in each box for a holiday surprise each day.
