Music and Dance Scrapbook Pages

Get Color-Scheme Inspiration from Costumes

Design by Melissa Inman

Melissa took cues from her son's red-and-black dance recital costume for this graphic two-page layout. She played up the flashy sequins on his costume by adding loose red glitter to chipboard accents.

Editor's Tip: To give a subtle texture to her scrapbook pages without making the background too busy, Melissa arranged and stapled scraps of embossed paper on a plain cardstock foundation. She used white papers for her background to let the black and red pop, but the technique can be accomplished in any color.
