Create a Hand-Cut Layout Background

Instead of purchasing laser-cut paper, Erica got the same look by making her own with simple geometric shapes. Trace a pattern of your choice several times on cardstock and hand-cut the shapes with a craft knife. Use the negative space for your title and date, as Erica did here.

Editor's Tip: Use cutouts to add dimension to a scrapbook page. Erica mounted shapes to her page with adhesive foam. She continued to build on her layout by placing photos on top of her cutout shapes.
