A chilly landscape shot can easily tell a great story. When taking your camera outdoors in extreme temperatures (cold or hot), keep your camera in a plastic bag and let it adjust to the change for several minutes before using it. Condensation can damage the camera and fog up the lens. Batteries also die more quickly in cold weather, so pocket spares next to your body to keep them warm.
