Bug Love

design by Nikki Krueger

On this layout, the butterfly icon is an enlarged dingbat printed in reverse on red patterned paper. The white and blue areas on the wings were cut and layered on top of the base shape to add dimension. For the title, Nikki used a thick shadow font and printed the letters in reverse on red patterned paper and white cardstock. She cut along the outside of the letter on the white version and on the inside of the shadow on the red copy and then layered the two.

SOURCES Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper. Patterned paper: Arctic Frog (blue), Daisy D’s Paper Co. (red). Fonts: Kristen (journaling) by ITC, Butterflies (dingbat) and Chocolate Drops (title) off the Internet. Rubber stamp: Eat Cake Graphics. Ribbon: Making Memories. Punch: EK Success.
