Erica cut both the intricate background pattern and the title from red cardstock. She designed the background pattern with simple lines and boxes in Microsoft Word and then printed multiple copies of the design on the back of a sheet of cardstock. For her title, she chose a font with slightly irregular edges, relieving her of making the cuts perfectly smooth.
