Sports Photo Scrapbook Album

Make the Cover

  1. Cut cardstock into 6x7" rectangles for the cover and inner pages. Cut a strip of patterned paper and adhere it to the left side of your front cover sheet.
  2. Hold all your papers together, making sure the edges line up, and use a hole punch to punch five holes down the left edge. If your punch isn't strong enough to go through all the papers at once, punch one sheet at a time, making sure the holes align.
  3. Thread a leather cord through the holes, binding the book. Decorate the rest of the cover with patterned paper, photos, epoxy stickers, transparencies, or any other embellishments you'd like to use.

SOURCES Patterned paper: Creative Imaginations (glove close-up), American Traditional Designs (baseball stitch, newspaper copy). Font: Times New Roman by Microsoft. Stickers: American Traditional Designs (baseball alphabet), Creative Imaginations (epoxy words). Rubber stamps: Hero Arts. Printed transparencies: Creative Imaginations. Stamped twill tape: Carolee's Creations. Leather cord: Silver Creek Leather Co. Design: Melodee Langworthy.

Create the Inside Pages

  1. Cut patterned-paper blocks slightly smaller than the cardstock. Adhere them to the pages.
  2. Create page turners out of stamped twill tape. Melodee put one letter on each of hers to spell out "baseball."

Finish the Inside

  1. Choose which images you'd like to include in your album and group them by theme (this can help you organize your album).
  2. Crop your images and place them on the spreads. Use several smaller shots on the left page, focusing on one large image complemented by a single smaller image on the right. Embellish the pages with epoxy stickers and other theme pieces as shown.
