Pet Scrapbook Album

Design the Cover

  1. Ink a plain chipboard album (Vicki Boutin covered hers with brown ink). Cut dog-bone patterned paper to fit the cover and word-print paper to fit the inside covers. Round two of the corners of each paper; attach to the album.
  2. Cut a semicircle of blue cardstock. Decorate it with small glitter stickers. Add a chipboard paw, a sticker title, and a metal-framed picture of your pooch.
  3. Wrap the spine with ribbon and attach a tag with a binder ring. Decorate the tag with stickers as desired.

SOURCES Patterned paper: Scenic Route Paper Co. (lined), Cloud 9 Designs (all other). Tags: Daisy D's Paper Co. Pen: Sakura. Ribbon: Offray. Ink: Tsukineko. Rub-ons, chipboard: Cloud 9 Designs. Stickers: Cloud 9 Designs (words, "Oakley," gel), Mustard Moon ("a" "time"), Scenic Route Paper Co. ("pooch"). Metal embellishments: Making Memories. Binder ring: Staples. Design: Vicki Boutin.

Make the First Page

  1. Ink the inner pages to give them a distressed look. Add cardstock and paper strips on top. Include die cuts topped with stickers and handwriting to announce the album's star.
  2. Print the photo (Vicki's is 3x5') with a small white border and attach as shown.

Create the First Spread

  1. Cover the background with patterned paper trimmed to fit. Add a photo, die cuts, and stickers as desired.
  2. Lined journaling blocks cut from patterned paper give you guides for handwriting captions.

Make a Second Spread

  1. Cover the album pages with cardstock and paper trimmed to fit. Vicki cut the circle paper along the edges to add a sense of movement. Add die cuts and stickers as in earlier pages.
  2. Mat action photos on cardstock, leaving room for playful sticker words underneath.
