What is the cost of self-service online advertising with Scrapbooksetc.com?

The cost is based on the parameters of your campaign. With a minimum campaign budget of $250 you can affordably reach clients. On Scrapbooksetc.com the cost of 1,000 impressions (views) is $15 for Square placements.

So, if your budget is $250 you will be in the queue for 16,666 Square ($250/$15 x 1,000) or 16,666 Leaderboard ($250/$15 x 1,000) placements or an infinite number of combinations of Square vs. Leaderboard impressions to total the $250 budget. The great thing is - you can decide which ad slots your ad will run in!

Why am I taken to a different site to make my campaign?

Scrapbooksetc.com partners with PageGage, our trusted source for self-service advertising. This partnership allows self-service advertising to be possible and affordable on Scrapbooksetc.com!

How will I be billed?

Your credit card will be charged on a monthly basis, or when impression delivery is complete - which ever comes first. It is very important to understand we will only change you based off of the impressions that have been delivered.

For example, if you have a budget of $250 and are scheduled to reach 16,666 Leaderboard impressions, say you only reach 12,000 - you will only be billed for 12,000 or $180.

Why wouldn't I reach my impression goals?

Web traffic ebbs and flows daily, impressions for your campaign are estimates, they are not guaranteed. Also depending on your targeting criteria you may narrow the available audience to your campaign. We will work with you to ensure your campaign is successful and meets your objectives. If you are concerned your campaign is not performing as expected please feel free to contact us via scrapbooksetc.selfservice@meredith.com or 1-877-336-5833.

I don't understand the lingo used in online advertising - can you help me with online advertising terms?
  • Ad Size: The dimensions, in pixels, of the ad slots to which a given creative can be served. The Square size is 300x250, the Leaderboard size is 728x90.
  • Campaign: The entire advertising initiative you are creating that will run your ads on Scrapbooksetc.com.
  • Clicks: A measurement of an action performed by a user in which the user clicks (presses the mouse button) on an ad element and is sent to a click-through url.
  • Click Rate: The percentage of impressions that resulted in users clicking on an ad. The click rate is calculated as: (number of clicks / number of impressions) x 100.
  • Click-Through URL: The URL to which the user is sent when he or she clicks on an ad. Usually the click-through URL points to a web page in your website.
  • CPM: Cost per thousand impressions. (M is the Roman numeral 1,000.) The amount charged to the advertiser per 1,000 impressions. CPM is a standard pricing model for web advertising. Scrapbooketc.com has a cost per thousand impressions of $15 for the Leaderboard and $15 for the Square.
  • Impressions: One ad served to one ad slot in a web page. (If the same ad is displayed in two separate ad slots in a web page, two impressions are counted.) Basically every time your ad shows on Scrapbooksetc.com, an impression is recorded. If your budget is scheduled to have 1,000 impressions you are requesting your ad to be shown 1,000 times on the site.
  • Leaderboard: This refers to the ad slot size of 728 pixels by 90 pixels. Please see the Ad Slot Size tab (hyperlink to the ad slot size tab - new window) to view the positioning of a Leaderboard on Scrapbooketc.com.
  • Run of Site (ROS): This means your ad will be shown throughout the entire site.
  • Square: This refers to the ad slot size of 300 pixels by 250 pixels. Please see the Ad Slot Size tab (hyperlink to the ad slot size tab ??? new window) to view the positioning of a Square on Scrapbooksetc.com.

What is Geo-Targeting, is it a good choice for my campaign?

Geo-targeting allows you to narrow the focus of your audience. Ask yourself, who do I want to see my ads? A campaign without Geo-targeting will show your ad to any of our users, no matter their location. You may narrow your campaign to a specific Country, State, Designated Market Area (DMA). Depending on your intended audience, Geo-targeting may be a good choice for your business.

For example, if you own a business in Des Moines, Iowa, you may want to target your ad to only Des Moines area residents. To do so you may want to select the Designated Market Area named Des Moines/Ames. If you wish to have your ad viewed by web-users in the entire state, you should select a geo-targeting preference of Iowa. If you would like your ad to be viewed around the Country you may want to select the US geo-targeting option.

Note: Geo-targeting adds a 25% premium to your CPM (Cost per thousand) making Leaderboards and Square placements $18.75 per 1,000 impressions on Scrapbooketc.com

How do I know my campaign is working?

There are a number of reports you will have access to during and after your campaign designed to provide information on the number of impressions delivered, number of clicks, as well as click-through rate %.
