I made this featuring my second son, Austin, who battles Autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dysgraphia. He didn't speak until he was 4, he just screamed or laughed. Now 17, with years of OT, PT, ST, special services and our sweat and tears, he is in a regular tech school in an automotive program. I know many people there see him as a C to D student with horrific writing skills and wish he would "speak up" when he needs help-but we know he is working his own miracle every day. I used the Timeless locks and keys to symbolize how I knew the real Austin was "in there" if I just kept trying long and hard enough to find the right key.
