USE YOUR SCRAPS

Design by Valerie Salmon

Cover the border. I took apart the outer scalloped borders of a laser-cut sheet and used them as a border on my page. I love the natural frame the scallops create around the design.

Waste not, want not. With the remainder of my laser-cut sheet, I cut out large circles to further embellish my layout. Using all of the laser-cuts from one sheet unified the page and allowed me to keep a consistent yet interesting look.

SOURCES Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper. Patterned paper, laser-cut paper: K&Company. Font: Georgia. Die cuts: K&Company, QuicKutz. Stickers: Scenic Route Paper Co. Flowers, brads: Heidi Grace Designs. Decorative-edge scissors: Fiskars.
