american girl
Design by Melissa Inman
Inspired by Shannon Landen’s layout “American Boy”
I don’t often scrapbook in 12" x 12" format, but in doing this layout as a gift for a friend, I wanted to keep the photos big and the proportions worked out right. I lifted Shannon’s title and used the same rub-ons to spell out most of the words. I also took a cue from Shannon’s color scheme, using red, blue, and tan papers and embellishments. The fabric flowers gave just the right amount of girliness to the page without taking away from the rustic feel of the leather-trimmed tag and sanded photos and papers.
