How she used them: Melissa replaced the long horizontal photo block on the left page with a strip of cardstock housing her title. She rotated the right-page photo collage 180 degrees, then filled in the middle photo space on the right scrapbook page photo collage with a journaling block.
Make the layout: Melissa had dramatic shots from a trip to Kansas City, so she showcased them in a photo collage that has room for both big and little pictures. To move outside sometimes limiting box shapes, she trimmed her title and journaling pieces so they extend to the background of her scrapbook page.
