How she used them: The photo collage Melissa used for her left-hand scrapbook page actually has room for five elements. She trimmed off the bottom two, leaving spots for three favorite photos. She flipped the right photo collage and filled in two of the blocks with one solid piece of journaling.
Make the layout: When you have a big story to tell, use a medium-size photo collage opening for it. Melissa made hers stand out even more by printing it on tan cardstock, which matches some of her scrapbook page embellishments.
