Design by Kate Teague
Kate combined elements from a Halloween digital kit bought online with eye-catching jack-o-lantern photos for this Halloween digital scrapbook page.
1. Open a 12x12" document in your image-editing software. Fill the background with a purchased digital texture in black, or design your own. Insert an orange texture at the top right-hand corner of the page. Drop a stitching element on top of the orange layer and a dotted ribbon element at the bottom of the page.
2. Add four photos to the background, resize them, and arrange as shown. Kate used the Marquee tool to delete the top right-hand corner of her focal photo around the pumpkin. Create your title with purchased digital letters in a fun font, and add an orange stroke (Layer>Layer Style>Stroke) to the second word in your title. Place drop shadows on the title letters for dimension. Include green journaling on top of the black layer.
3. Open a masking-tape element, type a name in a text box, and merge the layers (Layers>Merge Layers) before dragging them onto your layout. Repeat this process to label each photo.
4. Position circular tag elements as shown. Open a purchased pattern and select an element (as Kate did with the cat image) using the Magic Wand tool. Drag it onto your layout to give the appearance of a stamped image.
