The broken buttons used to fill the hearts on this layout are just as cute as whole buttons. By using monochromatic buttons in each heart, Lisa achieved a cool variegated effect. To balance that splash of color, she created a simple colorful button border on the left-hand side to mimic a scalloped edge.

Editor's Tip: Break buttons by twisting them with two pliers. (Protect your eyes in case any pieces go flying!)
