Why won’t my photo upload?

First, check that your photo is the right size and file type (photos must be .jpg or.bmp and under 3 MB).  During periods of heavy traffic, some users may experience very slow load times or not be able to upload their photo at all.  In this case, it’s best to wait a few hours and then come back and try again. 

Also, the ShareMy tool is most compatible with Firefox or Internet Explorer.  If you’re on a Mac and are using Safari as your browser, you may be experiencing upload difficulties.  Firefox can be downloaded for free and may be a more suitable browser for upload. 

If you still have problems uploading, please email ShareMy@meredith.com and describe step by step the process you are going through to upload.  More details will help in troubleshotting the issue. 

I can’t find my photo!  HELP!

To find your photo, go back to the SBE photo area (my.scrapbooksetc.com/app/sharemy) and click the “Edit Photos” button the top right to see all of your galleries. 

If your photo appears in this edit section, you were successful in uploading your photos.  *Please note there is up to a 24 hour upload lag for your photo to appear within the challenge category.  Rest assured if you find your photo under your ‘edit photos’ and it was entered into the correct challenge category, then your entry will be considered as long as you are in compliance with the official challenge rules:

I added my entry to the wrong category, is there any way to transfer it over to the correct category? 

Unfortunately, no.  You must re-upload your gallery into the correct category.

I accidentally clicked on the wrong star rating – can I undo?

No, you cannot undo a rating.  However, per the official rules ratings and recommendations do not have any bearing on the selection of semi-finalists.   

I uploaded my picture but it won’t fit into the thumbnail and it won’t shrink.

The shrink feature is to allow you to shrink your photo back to the original size once you’ve grown it.  You cannot shrink the thumbnail photo to be smaller than the original that was uploaded.  If you want more of your photo to show in the thumbnail view, you will need to resize it in a photo editing tool. 

I select the photo I want to upload on my computer.  The thumbnail box is empty and my picture never displays.

Most likely you have a photo that is too large.  Try resizing the photo using a photo editing tool and resubmit. 

How do I edit a picture?

Go to my.scrapbooksetc.com/app/sharemy  Click on the “edit photos” button in the top right header.  Log in.  You will see a listing of your galleries that you’ve uploaded.  Click “edit’ under the gallery you wish to edit.  Make the changes in the gallery and be sure to click “Submit gallery” again so the changes take place.   

The “sort by” option is not working

We are aware of the sort function not working.  Per the official rules, ratings and recommendations have no bearing on semi-finalist selection.  Entries will still be judged per the criteria established in the official rules
