It’s Earth Day! To celebrate, we’ve put together a list of eco-friendly scrapbook products that are beautiful to use on pages, but are better for their environment, too!
Baker’s twine is all the rage these days. Hemptique® supplies baker’s twine from 100% cotton cording. Its’ other hemp and twine products are made from bamboo, organic cotton, and other natural fiber-based products. The colors are beautiful and the natural materials won’t damage pages or pictures. Although they sell wholesale, their products can be found in individual colors on Amazon.
Several paper companies have stepped up their actions and and made their paper more sustainable. We love Die Cuts With a View “Green” line, which features paper and chipboard shapes printed on 70% recycled paper. Try looking for papers that were printed with soy ink, too.
To cut down on plastic packaging, choose a tape runner that takes refills, such as Xyron’s Mega Runner. Instead of throwing away the tape runner every time you run out, this tape runner holds a significant amount of tape, which makes for less refills and plastic.
