Scrapping for Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Every year a quarter of a million people in the U.S. are diagnosed with breast cancer. Although we may sometimes feel helpless to stop this disease, our favorite scrapbook companies are offering us a chance to follow a hobby and support a cause. See these scrapbook products that you’ll love to craft with and that will help breast cancer research.

Duck brand, the makers of Duct Tape, have released a pink line of products to benefit breast cancer research. The line includes pink duct tape, pink bubble wrap cushioning, and packaging tape. They’re promised to donate up to $1.50 per product sold to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Me & My Big Ideas, a big scrapbook supplies manufacturer, has also partnered with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to donate up to $10,000. They have many different pink products currently on the market, including paper kits and stickers.

Sharpie is starting a pink revolution. For every pink autograph signed and submitted to http://www.sharpie.com during the month of October, they will donate $1 to City of Hope, the leading global medical cancer treatment and research center. Check back later this month to see our signatures.

Meredith Corporation, the company that publishes Scrapbooks Etc., helps sponsor the Read for the Cure program. This website allows you to subscribe to a variety of magazines, of which 10% of each subscription payment is donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
