Good afternoon! if you were here earlier today, you may have seen our Craft It Forward Blog Hop. Don’t you think those bloggers did an awesome job? I love how they all did their own thing.

Contributing Editor Candi Gershon and I also decided to get in on the act and create some patriotic thank you cards. You can see mine above—I modified Lisa Storms’ original design and added some glitter paper and star patterned paper.

And Candi got some help from her children, who have clearly inherited their mom’s creativity—just look at these awesome cards!

They’ll be giving the cards to veterans on Candi’s Meals on Wheels route. And the marshmallow treats are for when the family spots someone in uniform. “With kids, I always have emergency treats in my purse,” Candi says. “Why not carry emergency treats as service projects as well?”

So cool!

To see more of the projects inspired by this month’s Craft It Forward project, go here. And don’t forget to post your own creations here for a chance to win $500 for you and your charity! Happy crafting!
