Craft It Forward in 2011!

Happy new year! Here at Scrapbooks etc. HQ, we are super excited about 2011. The new year marks the start of Craft It Forward, a monthly challenge in which we ask you to make a project (or 10 or 100) and give it to a charity of your choice.

Every month we’ll post a new project sheet on the Craft It Forward web site that you can download. Follow the directions, get inspired, and make whatever you like. Then share your projects with someone in your community. It’s that simple!

This month’s project is birthday cards. They’re fun and easy to make, and they’re a great way to use up your scraps. We’ve suggested giving them to kids in crisis, but you can pass them along to whomever you like. Use our design, create your own, or make something else. It’s up to you! We just want to encourage you to share your crafting skills with your community.

Once you’ve shared your projects with someone, come back to our site and tell us about the experience—and, of course, what you made. (So don’t forget to take photos!)

We’ll be doing this all year, so keep an eye out for future projects. Go ahead—Craft It Forward!
