A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to snap photos in front of Air Force One. (Well, the President wasn’t on the plane so technically it wasn’t Air Force One … but still!)
We had to take the photos relatively quickly so there wasn’t time for setting the camera just right. The flash flooded the sky creating an over-exposed look. I took this as an opportunity to use white space to the fullest in a digi page. I cropped the photo to page-width and let the top of the photo blend into the white background. I used the space for a large journaling block. To make the white base even more striking, I matted the entire layout on black.
To get a similar look on a traditional layout, add text to photo white space before printing.
