Scrapbook Layout How-To

Design by Belinda Venables

Scrapbooking Supplies
Photos: strip of five vertical 1x1-1/2"
Cardstock: kraft
Paper: two patterns
Other: stickers, mini notebook paper, date tabs, die cut, felt accents, ceramic accent, staples

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Draw a border around an 8-1/2x11" sheet of kraft cardstock with a black pen. Adhere a 3-1/4x95/8" piece of patterned paper to the center of the sheet.

2. Mat the strip of photos with a second patterned paper and add it to the layout. Attach a piece of mini notebook paper in the lower left-hand corner and handwrite your journaling on it. Use letter stickers to create a title.

3. Cut a journaling die cut in half and place one piece next to the strip of photos. Embellish a felt accent with a ceramic accent and add it to the journaling block. Attach a felt embellishment to the top photo. Finish the page with date tabs in the upper right-hand corner and two staples in the lower left.

SOURCES Patterned paper: Scenic Route Paper Co. (dots), October Afternoon (squares). Specialty paper, tab: Elle's Studio. Stickers: Making Memories (small letters), Heidi Swapp (block letters), American Crafts (all other). Journaling block: Yvette Adams. Felt accents: Creative Cafe by Creative Imaginations (flower), Fancy Pants Designs (crown). Ceramic accent: Crafty Matters. Pen: Uni-ball Signo.
