MAT RUB-ONS AND STICKERS ON CARDSTOCK
Designs by Melissa Inman
Melissa popped up cardstock with adhesive foam to help her greetings stand out against the busy patterned paper on her Valentine's Day cards.
For the card on the left, Melissa folded a base from patterned cardstock-weight paper that has a coordinating solid color on the other side. She adhered script-style stickers to a brown mat and added a second mat of red cardstock for pop. See a close-up shot of the "Hugs & Kisses" valentine.
Melissa used the same patterned-cardstock base for the other card, adding "X" and "O" stickers and a sentiment rub-on to cream cardstock before matting both pieces with the same block of brown cardstock. See a close-up shot of the "XOXO" valentine.
Editor's Tip: Use little details, like inking the edge of your cardstock mat or dotting your "i" with a heart to take a Valentine's Day card to the next level.
